 Cape Cod's Best Food and Drink Events of the Summer

Over the course of the summer, Wequassett is excited to present a series of culinary events that promise to surprise and delight. Under the leadership of celebrated Executive Chef, James Hackney and his culinary team there will be unforgettable food, drink, and entertainment under the stars overlooking Pleasant Bay. We invite you to join us and enjoy the best of summer on Cape Cod! Celebrate Cape Cod
Date and Time: Thursday, June 28, 2018, at 6:00 pm
Location: Garden Terrace

You won’t want to miss our “Welcome to Summer” event with a celebration of Cape Cod’s culinary specialties. Treat yourself to a variety of stations from our Executive Chef, James Hackney along with some of our favorite local industry friends. Indulge in beer and wine selections from Devil’s Purse and Hog Island Brewery, Cape Cod Beer and Joseph Carr will while you enjoy the energetic sounds of the musical duo Matty and Amanda. 

Cost: $45 per person  



Clambake on the Bay
Date and Time: Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 6:00 pm
Location: Grand Lawn

The ideal way to enjoy a classic New England Clambake! A family-style dinner will be featured with all the traditional offerings…clam chowder, local steamers and mussels, one-and-a-half-pound boiled lobster, marinated chicken and pork ribs, corn-on-the-cob, steamed potatoes and cranberry apple crisp. Savor this summer meal on farmer’s tables overlooking Pleasant Bay. Solo guitarist and vocalist, Mark Endersen will complement the evening, and a full bar will be available to purchase.

Cost: $95 for adults, $49 for children


Dance, Dance, Dance
Date and Time: Thursday, July 26 from 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm
Location: Grand Lawn

Acclaimed Boston disc jockey DJ Scott will spin your favorite tunes. Craft cocktails with Belvedere Vodka and Volcán Tequila will get the party started, and sweet treats will conclude the night. A full bar will be available for purchase.

Cost: $45 per person



Spritz Veneziano
Date and Time: Thursday, August 9 at 7:30 pm

Location: Grand Lawn

Imagine summer on the Amalfi Coast and let our mixologists surprise you with refreshing spritzes and retro Italian cocktails while you’re being serenaded by the Steve Marin Trio. Executive Chef James Hackney and his team will collaborate with Chef Partners, Kevin O’Donnell and Michael Lombardi of SRV, a modern Italian eatery in Boston’s South End to create an alfresco summer evening to remember.

Cost: $65 per person


A Stylish Dock to Dish

Date and Time: Thursday, August 23 at 6:00 pm

Location: The Verandahs

An exquisite Champagne dinner will be featured this evening, beginning with a reception with the Cape’s best shellfish from local farmer Steve Wright. Executive Chef James Hackney’s three-course meal using the finest local ingredients will be complemented with champagne by renowned producer, Ruinart. Solo guitarist, Joseph Halajko will provide entertainment for the evening.

Cost: $145 per person



Oyster Grand Tasting
Date and Time: Thursday, September 6 at 5:30 pm
Location: Garden Terrace

A cocktail reception and oyster tasting will be followed by a Five Star dinner. Join us and decide which is the best oyster of them all. Will it be a Chatham, Dennis, Wellfleet or off-Cape contender? Chef Jeffrey Thompson from our sister five-star hotel, Wheatly, will join our Chef, James Hackney, to create a three-course dinner. The dinner will include a starter and entrée from each chef and a dessert from our Pastry Chef, Ashley Corrao. Courses will be paired with elegant wines from our fine wine distributor, Classic Wines. Solo guitarist, Fil Ramil will entertain you.

Cost: $55 per person, 7:30 dinner, $95 per person (includes cocktail reception)


A Cheesy Evening
Date and Time: Thursday, September 20 at 6:00 pm
Location: Garden Terrace

Who doesn’t love an evening all about cheese! Our Executive Chef will join Lois Risoli, renowned maître d’ and fromager at L’Espalier in Boston. They will collaborate to create wonderful hors d'oeuvres and a three-course dinner highlighted by wines from Alsace’s premier winemaker, Zind-Humbrecht. The string duo, Ensemble Aevia will provide entertainment.

Cost: $95 per person
